Sevilla and Barcelona meeting ends in a draw

A 1-1 draw was decided between Sevilla and Barcelona on Tuesday in a postponed match from the 4th stage of the La Liga.

Argentina’s Alejandro Gomez opened the score for the Andalusians in the 32nd minute. Uruguayan Ronald Araujo equalized for the Catalan in the 45th minute.With this draw, Sevilla increased their tally to 38 points in second place by a margin of five points behind the top-ranked Real Madrid. Barcelona, on the other hand, are 28 points in seventh place.

Sevilla ended the match without the services of French international defender Jules Kounde, who was sent off in the 64th minute for attacking Barcelona’s left-back Jordi Alba.
