Sevilla clinches victory in the Andalusian Derby

The Sevilla team hit hard and outscored neighbor and rival Real Betis 2-1 on Sunday in the Andalusian derby held within the 26th week of the Spanish La Liga.

The match took place at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, where Sevilla took the lead in the 24th minute through Ivan Rakitic from the penalty spot before Moroccan international Munir El Haddadi scored his team’s second goal in the 41st minute from a superb pass to his compatriot and Sevilla goalkeeper Bono.

In the fourth minute of stoppage time, Sergio Canales narrowed the gap with Real Betis ‘ only goal.

Sevilla consolidated their position in second place with 54 points after the team achieved the fifteenth victory with 9 draws and two losses, while Betis’s balance was frozen at 46 points in third place.
