Sevilla confirm the signing of ex-Real Madrid star Isco on a two-year contract
Isco, a former Real Madrid player, has joined Sevilla on a two-year deal. Isco has been a free agent since his contract expired with Real Madrid on June 30, and he arrived at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan on Monday to finalize his transfer with a medical.
On Sunday, Sevilla announced an agreement in principle to sign Isco, which was followed the following day by confirmation that the transfer was completed.

“Isco Alarcon has now officially signed for Sevilla FC on a two-year deal.
“After yesterday’s announcement that he had signed an agreement in principle, the midfielder has today passed his medical and put pen to paper.
“The Malagueno will be here until at least the end of the 2023-24 season. In the coming days, Isco will be formally unveiled as a Sevillista and will meet up with his new teammates for his first training session.”
Isco, a five-time Champions League champion, may no longer be relevant to Carlo Ancelotti at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, at 30 years old, he is still more than capable of completing a job for a team that wants to qualify for the Champions League on a regular basis.
Sevilla were not the only team interested in acquiring him this summer, with Roma manager Jose Mourinho also keen on bringing the playmaker to the Italian city.
Mourinho and Isco share an agent in Jorge Mendes, but relocating to Italy at this point of his career did not appeal to the 38-times capped international.
