Manchester City secured their lead in the English Premier League after a hard-fought victory over Wolverhampton.
Raheem Sterling scored his 100th Premier League goal to give Manchester City a one-goal victory over Wolverhampton in the 16th round.
Manchester City did not benefit from their great possession of the ball, which reached more than 70 per cent, and not even the sending off Mexican Raul Jimenez with 2 yellow cards (4+ 2) to win by more than a clean goal. The only goal came in the 66th minute from a penalty kick by Raheem Sterling.
Manchester City increased their tally to 38 points in the lead ahead by a margin of one point ahead of their nearest rivals Liverpool, who beat Aston Villa 1-0 on Sunday .
