Three La Liga clubs join the race to sign Edinson Cavani

According to rumors, Edinson Cavani might be on his way to Spain, with three La Liga teams interested in signing him.

Cavani’s tenure at Old Trafford will come to an end when his contract expires at the end of the month. Manchester United’s striker made 59 appearances in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and assisting on seven others. The Uruguayan may now face a fresh struggle in Spain.

According to Fichajes, Real Sociedad, Real Betis, and Villarreal are all interested in signing Cavani.

The 35-year-old has had a tremendous career, capturing a number of titles with Napoli and PSG in France and Italy.

The striker, on the other hand, has yet to play in La Liga. A relocation here would make sense since Cavani is said to be actively hunting for love outside of England.

However, there is competition for Cavani’s seasoned goal threat throughout Europe next season.

Cavani has also been linked with a return to Serie A, with a surprise prospective suitor.

Salernitana are allegedly interested in signing the former Napoli player provided they can meet his pay demands.

It would not be surprising to see Cavani slip in terms of team competence. He had a poor last season at United, contributing just three goals in 20 appearances.

A transfer to Spain might help him rediscover this facet of his game. Real Sociedad are in serious need of a new frontline after finishing sixth and qualifying for the Europa League.

They only scored 40 league goals in 38 games, but they finished in the top six thanks to a solid defensive record.

Real Betis also qualified for the Europa League, but Villarreal finished seventh and will have to settle with the Europa Conference League.

Man United must brace themselves for life without Edinson Cavani.
While Cavani has struggled in front of goal this season, he cannot be held entirely responsible.

The Red Devils failed to score all season and lacked consistency in their offensive line.

With Cavani out of the picture for next season, United must prioritize at least one new striker this summer.

Darwin Nunez, a teenager, has already been widely linked with a transfer to the club. However, the team may need to hunt for someone with Cavani’s level of expertise.

Only two players scored more than ten goals for the club last season: Cristiano Ronaldo (24) and Bruno Fernandes (22). (10).
