UEFA Europa Conference League quarterfinal draw

The quarterfinals of the first UEFA Europa Conference League are underway, with the last eight clubs seeking to be the first to lift the title. The draw took place on March 18 and included some intriguing matches.

In a repeat from the group round, AS Roma will face Norwegian surprise team Bodo/Glimt. Bodo/Glimt earned a 2-2 draw in Rome and a 6-1 victory at home. When AZ Alkmaar was knocked out of the tournament in the Round of 16, the Norwegian club proved it wasn’t a fluke.

A replay of the group stage will take place in the Feyenoord vs. Slavia Prague quarterfinal. The Dutch team won both of the previous matches, winning 2-1 at home and drawing 2-2 on the road in the Czech Republic.

The most anticipated quarterfinal fixture, though, has to be the clash between Leicester City of the English Premier League and PSV Eindhoven of the Dutch Super League. If the Italians advance, the victor of this quarterfinal might face AS Roma in the semifinal.

Fans of Olympique Marseille will be pleased with their quarterfinal draw, which pits them against PAOK of Greece, with the winner of the Feyenoord-Slavia Prague series facing them in a potential semifinal.

The semifinals will be played on April 28 (1st Leg) and May 5 (2nd Leg).
