“UEFA” is considering transferring the Champions League final from St. Petersburg

UEFA has begun to seriously consider the possibility of moving the Champions League final scheduled for next May from the Russian city of St. Petersburg.

This came after UEFA suffered heavy criticism on social media after announcing earlier that there were no plans to move the match from Russia. UEFA said in a previous statement that it is constantly and closely monitoring the situation in Russia, and it is not planned to change the location of the hosting of the match. The statement provoked angry reactions on the social networking site “Twitter”.

British media have reported that the final could be moved to Wembley Stadium.
