Uruguay beats Venezuela with a quadruple

Uruguay beat hosts Venezuela 4-1 on Wednesday in the 16th round of South America’s qualifier for World Cup Qatar 2022.

Uruguay’s Rodrigo Bentancur scored in the first seconds (00:50), Giorgian De Arrascaeta (23), Edinson Cavani (45), and Luis Suarez (53) from the penalty spot, while Venezuela’s only goal was scored by Josef Martinez (65).

Uruguay finished 22 points in fourth place, while Venezuela was frozen at 10 points in last place.

Argentina beat hosts Colombia

Argentina beat hosts Colombia (1-0) at dawn on Wednesday in the 16th round of South America’s qualifiers for the World Cup Qatar 2022.

The Tango goal was signed by Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez (29), who took advantage of a defensive error and shot the ball hard during play from the middle of the penalty area.

The top four teams qualify directly for the World Cup in Qatar, with the fifth-placed side facing a play-off against a team from the Asian qualifiers. Argentina, who have already qualified for the World Cup, are 35 points in second place, while Colombia are frozen at 17 points in seventh place.
