Vitinha, a midfielder from Portugal, moved from Porto to Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday. This was the first time that the French champions went into the transfer market.
Vitinha signed a five-year deal with the French capital club while PSG are still talking about Mauricio Pochettino leaving as a coach and Christophe Galtier likely taking his place.
Vitinha made his debut with the first team for Porto in 2020. He then went on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers of the English Premier League for the 2020/21 season and played 22 games in his first time abroad.
The midfielder has played for Portugal three times and returned to Porto last summer. He has made 47 appearances in the competition and helped the team win the domestic league and cup double.
The transfer was said to be worth 40 million euros ($42 million) by the media.
