West Ham fail to secure fifth place

West Ham were defeated 2-0 by Brentford in Round 32 of the English Premier League, failing to take fifth place from neighbors Arsenal.

Frenchman Bryan Mbeumo scored for the home side in the 48th minute, while Ivan Toney secured Brentford’s second goal without him by the 64th minute.

West Ham’s balance stopped at 51 points in fifth place and 3 points behind Arsenal.

In another match, Leicester City beat Crystal Palace 2-1.

The Foxes took the lead with Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman in the 39th minute, and shortly before the end of the first half Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall boosted Leicester’s lead by signing the second goal, and Crystal Palace then got a penalty that Wilfried Zaha was able to follow after Kasper Schmeichel’s stopped it and reduced the difference in the 65th minute.

Norwich City secured a two-goal win over Burnley as Pierre Lees Melou scored Norwich’s first goal before teammate Teemu Pukki doubled the score for the hosts
