World Cup qualifiers-Qatar 2022 -: FIFA considers Poland qualified to face the winner of the between Sweden and the Czech Republic

FIFA has decided to consider Poland qualified to face the winner of the match between Sweden and the Czechs in the European qualifying round of the World Cup Qatar 2022.

The International Football Federation confirmed on Tuesday, the national team of Poland has officially qualified to the final of the second track of qualifying for the qualifying round of the World Cup Qatar 2022, at the expense of Russia, which was excluded from international competitions.

Russia were due to host Poland on March 24 in the semi-finals, with the winners facing Sweden and the Czech Republic on March 29, but FIFA decided to exclude Russia from its international competitions because of its invasion of Ukraine.

“Following the decision of 28 February taken jointly with UEFA to suspend the participation of all Russian teams in all FIFA and UEFA competitions until further notice, FIFA has decided that Poland will officially qualify for the second track final,” FIFA said in a statement.
